On Thursday evening, Barack Obama came to MU for his Change We Need Rally. For days leading up to the event, there were teams of crews setting up bleachers, gates, tents, and platforms for the event. Around 40,000 people were in attendance, packing Carnahan Quad with signs, posters, cameras, and American flags. But what really happened?
Those that were in attendance can attest to the cheers of support and for the entire length of the speech. People waited in line for hours leading up to the event, waiting to just catch a glimpse of who they believe will be the next President of the United States.
The entire speech can be viewed online as well as a slideshow capturing the people attending the event. Check out the extensive coverage of the days leading up to the election on the Columbia Missourian website.
