MU students are still waiting on refund checks from their PLUS loans. While financial aid officials expected the checks to be in by now, the delay has been pushed back a few weeks, according to an email to students.
The delay is caused by “roll-out glitches” related to the new myZou student record system and issues involved in processing the detailed loans, said Christian Basi of the MU News Bureau.
The refund checks are now expected to be out near the end of October. Meanwhile, MU continues to offer short-term interest-free loans to students who applied for the Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students and need financial help until the checks arrive. Students are advised to contact their financial adviser if the ned some help.
