MU officially joined the Billion Dollar Club on Friday with Chancellor Brady Deaton’s announcement that donations and gifts to the university have surpassed $1 billion in the university’s “For All We Call Mizzou” campaign.

Only $168 million more to go

MU continues to inch toward its goal of raising $1 billion by 2008. As of Sept. 30, the most recent month for which totals are available, MU had raised $832 million, which is $5 million more than the previous month, the Chronicle of Higher Education reports.

The MU Business School is now the Robert J. Trulaske Sr. College of Business after the school received a large donation from his widow, Geraldine Trulaske.
Laura Harris, the school’s media relations coordinator, said the family asked to keep the amount of the donation confidential.
