MSA and the Craft Studio are hosting a sock monkey-making event Wednesday, November 12 in N12 Memorial Union from 5:30p.m. until 8:30p.m. The event is free and participants can either bring their old socks, or use the ones provided.
What is a sock monkey? Made from socks and stuffed, sock monkeys were the homemade teddy bears of the 1950’s. They’ve grown in popularity from craft Web sites such as craftster. Originally made from Red-Heel socks, many magazines and books have since given directions on how to make these fun creatures.
